    Abstract

    Chapter 1 - basic questions and goals: the autor gives explanations about the fundamental basics and ideas on which the paper is based and who should benefit from it. Chapter 2 - definitions and basics: he gives all definitons and explains all basics concerning water in order to give a better overview for the following chapters. This chapter also contains data and facts about the Austrian water economy and information about the topic “drinking water in Austria”, including all relevant facts. Chapter 3 - Artesian ground water: in this chapter the autor puts the emphasis on the subject Artesian or “Deep” ground water and explains its characteristics, peculiarities and occurences. Chapter 4 - economic aspects: the autor states various marketing opportunities for the above mentioned ground waters, expecially for packed drinking water and the chances of water suppy models. Finally he mentions economical and ecological risks and chances and gives and overview about the legal framework. Chapter 5 - ecological aspects and consequences: the autor goes into the subject of sustainable usage of water and the ecological state of the Austrian ground water. He explains all pros and cons of a possible liberalisation of the water market and the therefore resulting ecological risks and chances. Chapter 6 - Example – “Aqua Vitale”: this chapter contains data and information about the enterprise Aqua Vitale as well as all possible marketing opportunities for the Artesian ground water.
