Abstract
The new dimension of public affairs of businesses demands the achievement of sustained success through the guarantee of social acceptance and legitimacy, furthermore through an adequate social-ecologically behaviour. Based on ethical theories, axiomatic sights of business economics to environmental impacts are presented. Additionally, there are measures for an ethical business management presented, that demonstrate different approaches of how to act responsible in terms of business management. After that a valuemanagement-system is presented, to evidence the integration of an environmental ethical behaviour. The thesis is concluded by the case study about disposal difficulties of the known drilling platform Brent Spar. Apparently the challenge for business management is, to solve problems, that are socially acceptable and successful in terms of profits.
