Abstract

Cross-platforms technologies make possible to build hybrid mobile applications by using technologies like HTML5 which is the ubiquitous platform for the web. Web developers can use the same set of technologies they know together with cross-platform tools for mobile devices like Phonegap or Mosync to access device features such as Sensors, GPS, NFC. The main advantage of hybrid applications is that is possible to run them in many different platforms such as Android, Blackberry, IOS or any other available platform. We are going to do a evaluation of the tools and frameworks to build hybrid mobile applications. The evaluation will include supported platforms and features, licensing and performance. Further, we will propose a design pattern to follow to build this kind of applications as well as describe and implement a prototype with the selected technologies and proposed design pattern.
