Abstract

The development of software systems will increasingly become distributed with little possibility for stakeholders to meet at the same time in the same place. This has major implications in particular for the joint definition of re-quirements. This paper discusses negotiation techniques and collaborative tools for synchronous and asynchronous requirements definition. We have been developing tool support for face-to-face negotiations based on a Group Support System and are now complementing our approach with web-based tools for distributed requirements negotiation.
