Abstract
The article starts by presenting a rough sketch of what the so-called tacit knowing view is all about and questioning the intellectualistic and objectivistic view of knowledge (section 1). Then different meanings of the term tacit and different types of tacit knowledge are distinguished (section 2). Finally, some implications for the process of acquisition of knowledge are discussed (section 3).
