Abstract
Processes of change in the economic and working environment as well as technical progress facilitated the evolvement of teleworking as a new structure of work organization. This thesis focuses on analyzing the potential of the spatial and bundled dislocation of work stations by establishing telework centres in terms of sustainable regional development and the therewith associated ecological, economic and social goals. As this form of teleworking could not succeeded in corporate practice yet, previous experiences as well as constraints of diffusions are examined, combined with a of required framework conditions which allow a successful implementation of collective teleworking arrangements in the cooperate and regional context. In fact, teleworking can only make a contribution to sustainable regional development if it can be managed to establish a win-win situation on economic, environmental and social level for the majority of the involved stakeholders.
