Abstract
This book provides a structured insight into the current knowledge base of strategic management in a compact form. The special feature here is the comprehensive and at the same time concise presentation of current and relevant topics along the entire strategy process. The determination of the starting position in the context of the strategic analysis is thus taken into account as well as the strategy formulation, the strategy implementation, and the strategic evaluation.
Today, strategic management is more relevant than ever. In an environment that is increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and characterized by ambiguity (VUKA), companies are often forced to quickly realign themselves, establish new business models or comprehensively adapt their strategies. Many of us experienced this during the Covid-19 pandemic. The 3rd edition of this book also addresses these challenges in particular. Current topics such as agility, digital transformation, business model innovation are addressed as well as the known and the proven. In addition, there are new tools, such as the new EFQM model or the core competence stakeholder portfolio.
Based on the authors' many years of experience in practice and teaching, this book conveys sound theoretical knowledge in just a few pages that can be applied in practice and is useful there. This book is thus optimally aimed at the needs of those readers who are looking for a quick and comprehensive theoretical and practical insight into the multifaceted world of strategic management.
