Abstract
The cleanliness of steel is characterized by the number, the size, the distribution, the shape and the chemical composition of non-metallic inclusions. In the present work the data of the analyses were investigated statistically. The main goals were to provide a method for the prediction of the maximum inclusion size, as well as to estimate the reproducibility of the analyses
