Abstract

With software products becoming more and more a core component in today’s society, they need to comply with standards and regulations, as well as ensure long-term viability and promote social responsibility. Consequently, it has become crucial to consider the potential sustainability effects of software products. It has been determined that Software Requirements (SRs) are one of the main leverage points for developing sustainable software products. One of the leading, state-of-the-art approaches to creating awareness of the sustainability effects of SRs is the Sustainability Awareness Framework (SusAF). SusAF is conducted as a workshop based on a guiding questionnaire to qualitatively collect sustainability concerns of a software product in all sustainability dimensions.
