Abstract
This technical report describes a benchmarking based assessment approach that allows comparing and judgeing the quality of software products. The benchmarking approach can easily be used in a DevOps setting and allows continuous monitoring of software quality. Furthermore, a portfolio-based improvement approach facilitates the selection of improvements, i.e., of problems to be fixed in the code based on the importance of the metric or coding best practice as well as depending on the quality level of the project determined by means of benchmarking.
