Abstract
Single phase permanent magnet motors are well known for low cost applications like fans, bowers or pumps. In cases with high demands on speed range, lifetime, cleanness or tightness (as for example pump applications in chemical and medicine industry with highly clean or aggressive fluids) there frequently are problems concerning the wear of bearing and seals.
