Representation Learning and Inference from Signals and Sequences

In this thesis, I will focus on representation learning from signals and sequences. I investigate various aspects of representation learning and inference on audio and music, images and genomic data. What all these different applications have in common, is that the learned representation will play a major part. Thus, representation learning will be the focus of my work from the beginning to the end.
