Abstract
A large class of dynamical systems from physics or technical sciences can be modeled by means of the theory of Hamiltonian systems. For these systems it is possible to find a coordinate free description, which only consists of the Hamiltonian function and a sysmplectic form. Hamiltonian systems with affine input, so called HAI-systems have a special relation between their inputs and outputs. Since HAI-systems are a subclass of nonlinear AI-systems, well-known methods for the analysis and design of AI-systems can be simplified for HAI-systems. The proposed design methods are applied to an example from robotics technology.
