Abstract
As the cellular communications landscape evolves
towards 3G and beyond, the software radio approach will become vital for successfully coping with the multitude of problems the coexistence of multiple standards poses. This paper covers a single-chip transmitter concept with digital baseband- and analog RF-interface, which has been fabricated in a 0.12µm CMOS process. It supports multiple cellular standards due to a fractional sample rate conversion and highly reconfigurable digital signal
processing.
