Abstract

A new method for the energy-efficient control of hydrostatic drives is proposed which works through resonant waves generated in a so called resonator-system. A switching valve generates the waves. Its switching frequency must satisfy a resonance condition, its adjustable pulse-width determines the output-pressure. A series solution of the damped wave equation is derived to study the influence of the main system parameters on the pulsation intensity. A rotary-valve is proposed to realise the intended high switching frequencies.
