Abstract

This paper discusses the effects of prototyping-oriented software development on the qualitative and quantitative attributes of both the software product and the software development process. The statements made are based on accompanying studies of a number of software projects that have been carried out at the C. Doppler Laboratory for Software Engineering using protoyping-oriented techniques in a commercial environment.
