Abstract
This thesis is about linking economic and ecologic approaches. The object is to reach a sustainable development by implementing ecological requirements in the traditional business economics. The main focus is based on three very important fields of economy: production (production of goods), reduction (disposal of waste and waste products) and logistics (physical transport of goods). These fields were chosen because of their high effects on the natural environment. This thesis offers concepts, which can reduce these effects with today´s available technics. These concepts range from optimizing the materials management, including an ecological component into producion control systems, optimizing storage processes, reducing the width of transports, increasing the efficiency of transports, to newer logistic concepts like Just-In-Time (JIT). But these concepts not only help to reduce impacts on the environment, they also serve economic goals by reducing costs (e.g. for raw material or energy).
