Abstract
This paper describes the development and implementation of a relational database application for the KEBA company in Linz. The purpose of the database is to manage data which is important for computer integrated manufacturing and to work as an intelligent interface between the departments construction, production and quality control. To support corporate wide date consistency is a further main objective of the project. Dynamic data structures on attribute level and a rule based interface were used to achieve these goals.
