Abstract
The year 2020 has offered unprecedented challenges to communities across the world. The COVID-19 virus has changed the way we conduct our personal and professional lives. Like so many businesses and organisations across the world, @WAS organisation has adapted to meet these changes. National border closings, air travel restrictions and the possible negative effects of a large indoor gathering to participants' health are just some of the challenges to be able to provide the calibre of safe and effective symposium you've grown accustomed to. So, after careful consideration by the @WAS steering committee and following advice of epidemiology experts, it was decided to deliver this year's 22nd annual iiWAS conference in a virtual format.
