Abstract
This special issue reports on artifacts and tool papers of the 25th International Conference on Fundamental Approaches to Software Engineering (FASE 2022), held in Munich, Germany, 04.04.2022 – 05.04.2022 as parts of the European joint conferences on theory and practice of software (ETAPS 2022). This 25th edition of FASE was the first to have an artifact evaluation. The goal of artifact evaluation at FASE 2022 was to encourage authors to provide more substantial evidence to their papers and to reward authors who create artifacts. Additionally, artifact evaluation aims to simplify the independent replication of results presented in the paper and to ease future comparison with existing approaches. Artifact evaluation was optional and was offered to those papers thate were accepted to the research and tool paper tracks of FASE 2022.
