Abstract
The diploma thesis Sustainability A new developed paradigm of economy and community is separated in four chapters. The first chapter deals with the operational added value, the environmental and the social dimensions of business activity. For a start chapter 2 highlights the development from maintained over prevented environ-mentalism to sustainability including its definition. Followed by the aims and the field of problems, the historical development is described. Subsequently, the three ele-ments of sustainability with their basic rules, guidelines, strategies and appendages of actions are discussed. Thereafter, the rules in management are shown which help to create a mission statement. Chapter 3 concentrates on sustainability concerning ethic aspects. After the introduction of general ethic aspects, ethic comes into focus of company and environment. Based on these remarks the question pertains to a moderate anthropocentrism as an attitude model is answered. The final chapter 4 deals with possibilities to increase the intersection between economy and ecology. Therefore, the options of forming the ecology in an economic way and the economy in an ecological one are outlined.
