Nachhaltigkeit als Unternehmensphilosophie - theoretische Fundierung und Prozessbegleitung in der OÖ. Ferngas AG

The thesis „Sustainability as the organization’s philosophy – theoretical background and documentation of the process at the OÖ. Ferngas AG” will consist of three parts: The theoretical part first gives an introduction in the development of the idea of “Sustainability”. It follows an overview of the present political status in the European Union as well as in Austria. “CSR” (Corporate Social Responsibility), “learning processes in organizations” and “sustainability reporting” are mentioned as important topics regarding the implementation of sustainability in a business. The practical part of the thesis provides some information of the company “OÖ. Ferngas AG” before it looks at the process by describing and evaluating it. Theoretical materials about “project and process management”, how to develop a sustainability report and impressions of the group members, formed the basis for the evaluation. The conclusion gives an overview of the thesis. Furthermore it points out problems which occurred in course of the process and due to them some necessities for a successful implementation.
