Abstract
The aim of this diplome thesis is to analyse the consumer behaviour of individuals on their sustainable behaviour and presents approaches for sustainable consumption for mobility.
Initially, the basic concepts for this thesis are characterised briefly. These are sustainability, consumption and consumer behaviour. Based on these definitions they are followed by a merger of the terms to the area of sustainable consumption.
In order to understand human behaviour better, theoretical models of environmental behaviour, which serve as the basis for further analyses of sustainable mobility behaviour, are briefly outlined. These models are: Ajzen Isaak – theory of planned behaviour, the norm-activation model of Schwartz and the psychological model of the environmental awareness of Fietkau & Kessel.
The specific intervention strategy in the area of mobility is ultimately based on the life style approach of Sinus Sociovision. There are groups of people with similar lifestyles considered as a unit which can be obtained with similar communication activities and enabled for sustainable mobility behaviour.
