Abstract

Fluid structure interaction (FSI) in a bent pipe is described by a mathematical model in the frequency domain. The model accounts for junction coupling and Poisson coupling, while friction coupling is neglected. The experimental setup provides clear boundary conditions for both fluid and structure. Frequency response functions between an excitation force and various states of fluid and structure are calculated.
