Research output: ThesisMaster's / Diploma thesis

Abstract

This thesis presents a method to model the temperature-dependent drying kinetics of single polymeric specimen using practical drying simulations in a thermogravimetric analysis apparatus at different isothermal temperatures. The obtained data is described by utilizing simple functional expressions (i.e., lumped parameter models) and finally yielding temperature-dependent prediction of the kinetics. It is developed and experimentally conducted on basis of a model polymer-volatile system, which is PA6-water, having application-relevance due to its hygroscopicity.
