Abstract

This paper presents the model of a new developed type of motor with magnetic bearings in the stator structure. The motor is based on the topology and technology of bearingless slice motors with disk-shaped rotor. The motor is specific, because it contains no magnets in the stator structure. This is an advantage compared to other topologies due to rising prices of permanent magnets. Analytical approach has found an optimal connection of the stator windings for a smooth distribution of force and torque. Further optimization is conducted in the finite element method software.
