Abstract
Many Systems, in both at private or commercial environment, use auto-
nomic working equipment for efficiency and simplification reasons. To ensure
reliable work, it is essential that this equipment always knows its exact posi-
tion.
If there is more than one device, it is very important that each device’s posi-
tion is known. To solve this problem, modulated signals were used to seperate
the different transponders. This way, it is possible to have a couple of devices
without loosing a single transponder’s identity.
One of the most important criteria in RF-Systems is how much bandwith
is used. In most localization problems frequency sweeps are used, but with
the disadvantage of needing bandwith. To avoid this problem, only a small
bandwith around the center frequecy is required in this diploma work.
Another advantage is the use of microwaves around 6 GHz. Unlike light waves,
which are affected by their environment, microwaves are largely independent
on their environment.
