Abstract
This thesis shows that in this day and age competent and successful leaders can`t any longer limit their focus to financial aspects and products/services only. They also have to include the employees in their focus. Touchstones for Leadership ability are exceptional situations. These include conflicts. This work examines the relationship and the interactions of quality, leadership, communication and conflict. The developed toolbox will provide an overview of various methods to which an executive may revert to for the prevention and resolution of conflicts. But not only the managers, also the staff and the whole company should show skills to handle conflict situations and be aware of certain methods. Due to these aspects the need for a conflict management in companies is well founded. A system design loop illustrates the integration of a conflict management system into the company and the quality management system. Finally, to ensure the efficacy of the conflict management system, measures of controlling are presented.
