Abstract
This chapter presents models for the acquisition of intercultural competence based on relevant theories of motivation and learning. Aside from pedagogical approaches the author suggests a study abroad period of a minimum of one year for students and organizational frameworks for management training that foster international professional mobility and cultural learning.
