Abstract
The diploma thesis gives a survey of the market development, as well as trends of
the solar line of business in Europe, Germany and Austria, whereas the main focus is
on Austria. Recapitulatory one can say, that the solar line of business in Austria has
developed very well. Sale figures of the past few years, as well as the installed
surface of collectors affirm the truth of this statement. The distribution of the installed
collectors on the other hand is very heterogeneous. While in Upper-Austria there is
almost a glut on the market, in Vienna and Burgenland the market on solar collectors
is not fully utilized yet.
Also the conceptual and theoretical substructures of the approach and instruments of
the innovation-management are presented, among their practical implementation
exemplified on solar cooling. The innovation-activities in the Austrian solar line of
business are shown based on empirical studies.
