This degree dissertation is about main components of integrated management systems of food trading companies. The primary objective is to define the most important components of all three category groups (quality management, occupational safety management and environmental management) within an integrated management system. To reach this goal an intensive study of technical literature was necessary. Furthermore this work includes a practical example of use of the Austrian food trade in corporation with BILLA Inc. which shows similarities and differences between theoretical models and daily business. Additional the main results of a market research which was specially arranged for this work are included in this degree dissertation. This research was performed to include the customer’s point of view in connection with quality management and environmental management systems in the food trade.
