Abstract
Digital transformation changes work practices for employees in all organizations. Increasing integration of technology thereby changes the requirements towards employees. This paper deals with the question of which characteristics enable the workforce to support the digital transformation of their organization and how the development of these characteristics in individuals can be supported. Based on an analysis of literature and a qualitative interview-based study of ten Austrian companies, fundamental characteristics of individual digital readiness were identified.
