Abstract

The research report contains 1) a documentation of the activities in Auroville especially in the fields of village development, alternative technology and renewable energy; 2) scenarios to enable the broader diffusion of Solar Frost Technology (Salor Cooling System, see www.solarfrost.com); 3) possibilities and limitations of implementing Solar Frost Technology in rural areas of Tamil Nadu; 4) strategies, that were worked out together with the Centre for Scientific Research (CSR)to ensure multiplier effects for the further diffusion of Solar Frost Technology of a high technological standard.
