Abstract
Aortic valve stenosis and coronary artery disease
are often concomitant findings in elderly patients in the developed
world. In patients with a higher perioperative risk interventional
treatment is typically favoured. Nevertheless, not all patients can
be treated this way due to additional findings. Especially anatomi

cal and vascular limitations may jeopardize interventional treat
ment options. In the current patient a giant aortic aneurysm and
severe generalized atherosclerosis was present.
