Abstract
The conflict between the independent Electrical Workers' Union SME and the Mexican government takes a new twist. After closing down the utility company Luy y Fuerza del Centro (LyFC), negotiations between the SME and the Mexican government didn't show any results. In search of new alliances, the union has turned to Enrique Peña Nieto, candidate of the Institutional Revolutionary Party in the presidential elections in July of 2012.
