Abstract
This paper deals with the way, the modification process, of Sustainable Development by the means of networks and concentrates on the possibilities of arranging this process appropriate, in order to finally increase and/or to speed up the rate of success and conversion.
Sustainable behavior is based on an integrated view of life. It presupposes defining oneself as a part of a greater whole and recognizing that everything is cross-linked and is sense fulfilled in this network first. Networks are possible forms of organizing Sustainable Development.
Concerning the arrangement of networks within the framework of Sustainable Development the system theory supplies helpful approaches.
Many sociological and psychological theories can be used to describe and explain this subject, especially if dealing with the question of motivating the network actors. On the other hand organizational development theories - dealing at this time mostly with the development of single companies - can be can be brought in to make the development to a cooperation in networks as well as Sustainable Development declare- and steerable.
Sustainable Development as a discursive phenomenon also needs the preoccupation with the basics of communication which have to be regarded as one of the central success factors. Further succuss and/or failure factors are discussed in this work and represented manageably in a structure and process model.
Both in the Ecoenergy-Cluster Upper Austria as well as the Ecoforum Linz lives environment the actuality of the subject is obvious. The author took part in developing both networks and each of them is to the date of finishing this paper successfully active in the most different fields.
