Abstract
The Austrian Social Science Data Archive (AUSSDA) was esta-blished in 2017 as a key infrastructure for the social sciences in Austria. This article aims to describe the role of the archive within the Austrian social science community. It highlights the most significant milestones of AUSSDA in its capacity as a data archive and explores potential focal areas for its future development from the perspective of community members. Additionally, the article underscores the importance of com-munity engagement as a vital element for the continued growth and development of the archive.
