Abstract

Teamwork has shifted increasingly from co-located to semi-virtual teams. The article provides a detailed theoretical and practical discussion of factors which affect the performance of multicultural semi-virtual teams and presents the results of a study of team projects which constituted the basis of a course on Virtual Teams taught jointly at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria, and the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA over a period of six years.
