Abstract
The article begins by formulating epistemological, didactic and methodological objections to reconstructing human knowing how as „procedural knowledge“. Instead, a phenomenological approach to practical skills is promoted. Using the examples of composing, writing, lecturing, working in agriculture, and preparing horses, ten central
aspects of knowing how are presented and illustrated.
