Abstract
The thesis, with the title "economic options in the energy use of renewable energies in Upper-Austria with a view to the Upper-Austrian climate strategy and particular reference to space heat" takes up various issues connected with the broad topic of renewable energies. After analyzing the current energy-situation in Upper-Austria with special regard to the structure, the current consumption and the CO2-emissions, the thesis also takes a look at the “desired” situation in the year 2030. Internally generated energy range constructs (biomass versus heat-pump) for the space heating sector of households in Upper-Austria show how the discrepancy between the actual and the target situation in Upper-Austria could be overcome until the year 2030. An ecological assessment based on the data of GEMIS 4.5 shows the possible change of classical air emissions from 2010 to 2030. Furthermore, an economic view, according to the VDI 2067-code, illustrates the costs of both alternatives in 20 years by exposing the less expensive alternative.
