Editorial Electrets and Related Phenomena Page 1 IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON DIELECTRICS AND ELECTRICAL INSULATION, VOL. 31, NO. 5, OCTOBER 2024 2263 Editorial Electrets and Related Phenomena THE 19th International Symposium on Electrets (ISE 19) was held in Linz, Austria, at the “Bildungshaus Sankt Magdalena” Educational Center, beautifully located above the cityscape of Linz and surrounded by greenery. This event, hosted by the Johannes Kepler University Soft Matter Physics Group, welcomed over 90 participants from 18 countries across Asia, Europe, and North America, who engaged in 12 sessions filled with inspiration, information, and insight. The symposium was followed by a thematic workshop entitled “Electroactive Polymers and Electrets for Soft Transducers,” featuring five tutorial lectures by renowned experts in the field.
