Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

e-Government means e-Transformation and ICT is one global driver for the progression in the last years. Also different terms are used more often and so a co-evolution of e-Transformation, public governance and knowledge enhancement happened and emphasise the similar goals (for example: improve public services and democratic processes and strengthen support to public policies) with only different focus on the public field. For example the term public governance is often used if someone likes to widen the scope on e-government, but the brand name e-Government does not change. For receiving goals in e-Government visions and strategies are necessary and so one chapter deals with important elements of a valid e-government strategy and another one describes different EU-Strategies. Finally also several problems are discussed which must be solved and some global drivers like requests for increased competitiveness are described.
