For organizations, numerous business and quality assurance tools are available to create a successful way to business excellence. Human, acting as "the innovator of quality", are inevitably linked to the holistic approach of quality. Therefore, the main objective of this thesis is to represent the contribution of the human resource management (HR) for the total quality management (TQM) in organizations. The elaboration of relevant HR fields in the operational practice in Part A shows, that qualified employees "do not simply fall from the sky", but that it requires effective and efficient instruments to convince and train the staff in thinking about quality. To give a precise idea about the quality in the corporate context to the reader, the main focus in part B of this thesis is on quality management and business excellence. In the third part of this work, part C, the contribution of the HR for TQM will be demonstrated based on concrete instruments. In addition to treating the employee orientation in the ISO 9001ff and the TQM, the intersections of the HR with the EFQM model are shown. The conclusion of this thesis is the linkage of the HR instrument HR - Balanced Scorecard with the EFQM model for TQM scorecard.
