Distributed Control of Structures Using Eigenstrain Analysis

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference proceedingspeer-review

Abstract

Flexural vibrations of intelligent beams with piezoelectric actuators are considered. The actuating effects of piezoelectric layers are treated as eigenstrains in the structure. A convolution integral statement for the deflection due to the distributed actions is derived. Inappropriate spatial distributions of the piezoelectric actuators are systematically classified. Distributions of the control input are discussed, that allow to annihilate dynamic deflections due to external forces.
