Abstract
After seven years of annual workshops on digital fluid power questions on its penetration into the fluid power community and into industrial practice are raised.
Whereas more and more academic research institutions deal with digital fluid power, realizations in practice are limited. Even though several fluid power companies offer some switching valves, more must be done to get them cheap and robust. Such components would stimulate the realization of digital concepts in practice and support the research work in academia on new digital concepts or the solution of noise and
pulsation problems.
