Digital Badge Revision: The Challenge of Handling Feedback

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference proceedingspeer-review

Abstract

Digital badges could become a new staple to indicate skill attainment in the context of higher education. To stay relevant though, it is important that digital badges are revised regularly. We argue that this revision process might deviate from what we are used to in curriculum revision, mostly likely in terms of the required stakeholder involvement and the overall quantity of data that could be generated. We therefore advocate for the development of digital support technologies that will help to reduce the effort for all parties involved in this process and thus could foster the sustainable development of a badging ecosystem.
