Abstract
The authors report on a methodology for diagnosing the state of corporate information processing, which has been developed over a period of six years on the basis of ten projects conducted using prototypes in practice. The core of this methodology is a metrics concept and an activity model. Using selected results from a recently conducted project (end of 1997 to beginning of 1998) this paper demonstrates the application of the methodology. Finally, findings from observation of the diagnosis projects are presented.
