Abstract

These days most applications are developed via rapid prototyping systems. Control and measurement applications both need easy to use user interfaces, that can quickly be built during the construction process of the application. Usually such prototyping systems are relatively expensive in both hardware and licensing fees (e. g. LabView, dSPACE). In the proposed paper we show that rapid prototyping and user interface creation is also possible on the basis of a low{cost open source RTLinux system by extending with several tools the "Simulink Target for Real{Time Linux" (STRTL), the implementation of the DSP{blocks in STRTL, the Comedi STRTL{interface and the strtl procctrl driver for the webpage{interface.
