    Abstract

The meat sector faces many different requirements arising from diverse stakeholders. Management systems foster the challenge of managing food safety as wells as the ecological and social responsibility. For better risk prevention food safety issues have to be identified as early as possible in the food supply chain. This thesis deals especially with combination possibilities between the “International Featured Standards Food” and elements of eco-management systems. Ultimately, derived from theoretical integrated management models and empirical statements, possible combination starting points are demonstrated.
