Abstract
This paper analyses material used for construction of the thermal mantle of a single family detached house by ecological and economical criteria.
For that purpose various construction materials are introduced, an adequate method for the ecological evaluation is identified, the best material for each purpose detected and possible differences in relation to price and ecological aspects are described.
A case study comprehending a scenario calculation process (best case, worst case) of an entire building demonstrates the deviations resulting from the application of different material from the ecological and economical point of view.
The results can be used to take a decision when faced with a choice of various construction materials.
